Econo Wall and Ceilings was started by Claude Precourt in December 1980. Claude started Econo Wall and Ceilings installing suspended ceilings – the right way. His goal was to always do the highest quality of work for the most economical price, while treating all customers fairly and honestly. As the company grew he realized that the tradespeople that worked for Econo Wall and Ceilings had to be of the highest calibre and utilize the latest in technology. This would ensure that completed projects were of exceptional quality and result of course in happy clients.
In 2000, Econo Wall & Ceilings found the need to diversify as the industry was changing. Claude acquired a small steel stud and drywall company that had a reputation as having some of the best tradespeople in the industry. Claude has used this solid foundation to grow the company further, which has allowed Econo Wall and Ceilings to take on all types and sizes of projects.
After spending seven years on the tools learning all aspects of the trade, Claude’s son, Chris, joined the office in 2001. Chris’s fresh perspective and energy, coupled with Econo Wall and Ceilings outstanding tradespeople and state of the art equipment has not only resulted in a large repeat client base, but a company that is positioned for great future growth. Chris believes that the education of new and existing employees is paramount to the future of Econo Wall & Ceilings. With a strong commitment to the apprenticeship program, bi weekly educational sessions for all staff, and a commitment to professional development, Chris is determined that all Econo Wall and Ceiling employees find their work both purposeful and rewarding.
